The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the scope and timetable for producing the Erewash Local Development Framework (LDF). It explains what policy documents (i.e. Development Plan Documents (DPDs), Areas Action Plans (AAPs) and Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs)) are going to be produced and when, with key milestones from the initial preparation to adoption.

Status of the Erewash Local Development Scheme

 As Councils within the Nottingham Core Housing Market Area (HMA) have primarily been concentrating on the production of an aligned set of Core Strategies, a full schedule of other potential DPDs, AAPs and SPDs has not yet been determined. Through the aligned work across the HMA councils, there could be scope for the production of joint documents where a particular matter relates to more than one local authority.

In light of the above, we feel that the submission of our revised LDS could be deemed as premature as key discussions with other HMA councils on this matter have yet to take place.
