Awarded Best Exhibition in Derbyshire!

The importance of Stanton Ironworks to the history of Erewash will not be forgotten thanks to the opening of our new gallery at the Erewash Museum.

The permanent exhibition has been designed to commemorate the importance of the industry to the history of the area, and the people who worked there.

The gallery was officially opened on 7th November 2009 by Steph Hill from Saint Gobain Pipelines who have helped support the project.

In the museum gardens we have a ladle once used to handle the molten metal for people to see.
