Delighted staff at Erewash Borough Council’s West Park Leisure Centre were bowled over when one happy customer presented them with a special ‘birthday’ cake as a thank you for all their help.
Margret Clow, a regular member of the 50+ activity group at the Long Eaton centre, wanted to celebrate 20 years of using the leisure facilities and took in the cake to mark the landmark anniversary.
A grateful Margret told the West Park team that she believed it was their help and support that had enabled her to reach and celebrate her 70th birthday last month.
Mike Haywood, Duty Manager at West Park Leisure Centre, said:
“It was a lovely gesture and a wonderful surprise for the staff. We were pleased to be able to celebrate the 20th anniversary with Margret and look forward to welcoming her to the Leisure Centre for many more years to come.”
