Road Closure - Long Eaton 14th March 2010

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Erewash Borough Council in exercise of their powers under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 made an Order on 8 March 2010 the effect of which will be that on 14 March 2010 no person shall, except on the direction or with the permission of a police officer in uniform, cause or permit any vehicle other than a vehicle connected with the emergency services to proceed in the following lengths of roads between the hours of 8.45 am and 12.30 pm.

As the marathon passes through the Borough in a west bound direction, once the race passes a major junction, the section to the east of said junction will be re-opened to all traffic.

Nottingham Road (A6005) - from the Erewash boundary (after the B6003 High Road junction to Toton) to its junction with Waverley Street
Waverley Street - in its entirety to Cross Street
Cross Street - in its entirety to Main Street
Main Street - to its junction with the roundabout and also where Main
Street splits leading to its junction with Oakley’s Road
Oakley’s Road - from the roundabout to its junction with Main Street
Fields Farm Road - from the junction with Main Street to its junction with Tamworth Road

Sawley

Tamworth Road (B6540) - from Fields Farm Road to its junction with Wilne Road

Breaston
