One of the most innovative and successful regeneration schemes in Erewash reaches its end this month . . . but the fantastic achievements mean the pioneering project will live on.
The Cotmanhay Neighbourhood Management Group (CNMG) officially closes on 31st March and will hand over the reins to Action4Cotmanhay - a group of residents who have been so inspired by the success of the project that they now plan to continue the good work.
CNMG was launched by Erewash Borough Council four years ago thanks to Neighbourhood Renewal Funding and has driven forward countless projects to help breathe new life into what was a deprived area of Ilkeston.
To celebrate the outstanding achievement, Erewash Borough Council has organised a special press conference to give reporters and film crews a great ‘one-stop’ opportunity to talk to the people behind the hard work.
This is a great chance to get some human interest stories from the people behind the regeneration drive AND some of the local people that have been helped to set up and run successful community-boosting groups and projects that have had a real impact on the lives of residents within Cotmanhay.
PLUS - the residents who will now take the baton and continue the work to regenerate Cotmanhay will also be there to talk about Action4Cotmanhay and their ambitions for the future.
So join us for this celebration – a real ‘good’ news story packed with human interest. Refreshments on arrival.
Please call the Erewash Borough Council press office to confirm your intention to be there!
