Erewash in Bloom 2010 will be launched in Ilkeston and Long Eaton town centres next week, when shoppers and local residents can find out more about this year’s event – including two special new categories.
The ‘Bloom’ stall will be in Long Eaton Market Place between 10am and 2pm on Wednesday 26th May and on Bath Street (outside McDonalds), Ilkeston on Thursday 27th May, also between 10am-2pm.
The colourful information stands will give everyone a chance to pick up entry forms and find out about all the categories, which have something for everyone, from children and residents through to schools and local businesses.
And this year sees a new Nominate your Neighbour award, giving people a chance to put forward residents in their street who put on a blooming good show! There will also be a new ‘Best of the Best’ award presented to an overall winner from the finalists.
All the prizes are awarded at a special presentation event, which will be held in October. The 2010 awards have a new sponsor, the Erewash Valley Branch of the Oddfelllows Friendly Society.
