Erewash Borough Council’s ever-popular summer series of Community Band Concerts in now underway, with a whole host of free entertainment lined up for music lovers.
The annual band programme is always popular with local residents and visitors to Erewash alike and the 2010 line-up once again features summertime concerts at venues across the borough. Local brass bands and colliery bands are among those who will be performing.
Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:
“This is an annual summertime treat for all music fans and we are delighted to be staging the series of concerts once again. They are fabulous entertainment and the concerts provide a thoroughly enjoyable family outing.
“Seating is limited at the venues, so I would urge people to take their own chairs – and, as regular concert-goers know, picnics are the order of the day!”
