Anyone interested in viewing the local history of Erewash or what leisure facilities are on in the borough? Well you can now from the comfort of your own home!

 

Erewash Borough Council has launched 360 degree virtual tours of key facilities on its website, www.erewash.gov.uk/leisure_centres.  On-line visitors will be able to check out the swimming pools and sports halls – while anyone interested in booking a function room can also see the facility.

 

Many of Erewash museum’s collections can be viewed along with the 1950s shop, Victorian kitchen and school room.

 

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:

 

“The virtual tours allow you to see a whole room – a complete 360 degree rotation, so you get the complete picture. It’s a great facility and another very welcome and positive addition to our website, which we are continually updating and reviewing to ensure its place as a great local information site.”
